Pro-Am STEM Challenge
The first Annual Pro-Am STEM Challenge was held on Friday 26th May 2017 1.30pm – 3.00pm.
What is the Pro-Am STEM Challenge?
A year 11 student (Pro) was partnered with a grade 6 student (Am) to complete a series of STEM challenges.
The solution to each challenge revealed the combination to a padlock. The winners of the challenge were the first pair to open the 6 padlocks and gain access to the locked box.
Why have a Pro-Am STEM Challenge?
The Pro-Am STEM Challenge provided aspiring STEM leaders in Year 11 to practice their mentoring skills, while celebrating the achievements of Year 6 students in STEM. The Pro-Am challenge also strengthened the links between Lyndale Secondary College and the local feeder Primary Schools.
Previous Winners
2017 - Sarah Collier (Year 11 STEM Student) and Aleksandr Kocenko (Dandenong North Primary)
